Established in 2002, the firm specializes in business transactions, business law, estate and trust law and administration, business succession planning, foundation law and elder law.

Susan Preston has was admitted to the NJ Bar in 1986, and has among other business, represented a major national steel company in the sale of the business into an ESOP, Succession planning for  the founder,  along with Charitable and Foundation Planning for the family.  Recently the Firm represented the founders in  the sale of a Morris County manufacturing company. Prior to establishing her own firm, she associated with 2 large Essex County firms and her experience included several hospital mergers;  the merger of a Fortune 500 company;  corporate liquidation; environmental compliance in estate and corporate matters;  formation and representation of family and private foundations.  I am currently pending final certification as a  Court Appointed Mediator, and am a Certified US Veterans Attorney.

In estate planning, the firm handles all aspects of complex estate administration, including offering substantial economic efficiency in simultaneously selling a family business and administering the estate.

Susan attended Rutgers Law School, Newark Campus, and was admitted to the Bar of NJ in 1986. Previously she graduated from Columbia University, School of :International and Public Affairs, NY NY, specializing in International Economics and African Studies.  Her thesis was in the economics of world Steel production, which has proven to be beneficial in her practice where she frequently is called upon to assist  clients’ in the sale of manufacturing companies.

Susan served the Honorable Dickinson Debevoise, Judge of the District Court of the District of NJ as judicial intern , and was an Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter in law school.

After graduation, Ms. Preston practiced law at several Roseland, NJ firms in Mergers & Acquisitions, Hospital transactions and law, Real Estate and Banking Law.

A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Drew University, she interned for several members of the U.S. Congress
